Harry Potter Birthday Party! PART 2- Decorations continued

Image
Hi again! If you have no idea what I am talking about, check out my other post 'Harry Potter Birthday Party! PART 1- Decorations' as this is a sequel! I believe we got up to the potion jars, so as this is in a jar, I'll tell you how to make the 'Lumos' Candle. Decorations 'Lumos' Candle ☀ 'Lumos' basically means 'Light', so I thought it made sense to have a candle with 'Lumos' written on it! I used 'Grey Cerne Relief', which is basically a glass painting pen, but I just created the pattern (see above) rather than doing any painting itself. I did this to a glass jar and left to dry for 20 minutes and stuck a tea-light in it. Here is the 'Grey Cerne Relief': Floating Candles Making these were not as hard as I thought. All I did was paint some toilet tubes white, add a base to them, stuff them with tissue paper and pop a battery powered candle in them! It was the hanging up that was the

Harry Potter Birthday Party! PART 1- Decorations

Hello world! 🌍 Wow! This blog has been a long time coming, for the very reason of this particular post. I have been organising and making a Harry Potter birthday party! It took me two weeks so I have a feeling this post may have to be split into several. To start with, I want to show you the overall outcome. Unfortunately, I am not quite used to my camera yet and the photos I took are blurry because I was trying to capture the atmosphere which didn't work with the flash and without the flash, they seemed to be blurry. So, in true Wizarding fashion, I sent him an o

Mini City Shopping Haul

Hi! This post must be the first haul I've done on my blog! I had a shopping trip in the city and didn't buy much, but what I did, I'm going to share with you!😇 Item 1 out of 3: The first thing I bought is a really cute, almost cauldron shaped jar with a little handle that I decided I would use as a candle holder. I bought it in Tiger for £1 because I thought this was an extremely good price and loved the look of it, so I snapped it up and purchased it! To be honest, I was really good in Tiger because there was so much nice stuff that I could have bought but I restrained myself! 😛 Item 2 out of 3: I've always loved highlighters but when I realised they were PASTEL HIGHLIGHTERS I couldn't resist the temptation. They were £5.99 with a Half Price deal if you bought anything else from the store. Their original price, however, though was £11.99, so get them while you can! The colours of them are stunning. I'm not just saying that but
