March Must-Haves 2018

Image
Hi everybody!!! Welcome back! Once again, it's the end of the month when I tell you what I've been loving this month. I have uploaded early, this time- what a difference 😆.  Post-it notes! This month has been a very busy time where I have needed to write down a lot of things to keep my mind from stressing about who-knows-what. I have a large selection of them for all different circumstances! I borrowed this book from a friend because I'd heard lots about it. It's amazing and I would recommend it to everyone. The story is about a concentration camp and the people in it- I won't give any more spoilers! It is: The Bone Sparrow by Zana Frallion . Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes have kept my skin very clear and remove my makeup so well! I had face wipes before that made my hands smell like chives (don't ask 😂) and burnt my face so I needed to find some new ones desperately and these are a lot better and have filled the gap perfec

How I Wash My Makeup Brushes

Image
As the title suggests, today, I'm going to tell you how I wash my makeup brushes. I normally wait until most of them are either weighed down with foundation or covered in eyeshadow until I wash them as I am running out of the product that I clean them with and it's time-consuming. This is the Clearasil Daily Gel Wash (linked at the bottom of the page). To begin, I run the brush under warm water and squirt a blob of product onto my free hand. Next, twist the brush around in the blob of gel and allow it to lather and make sure I get all the makeup out of the bristles. In my case, the hot water tap normally will begin to give out scolding water so I sometimes do this under the cold. Rinse the head under the water, making sure all the soap is out of it. Squeeze the liquid out of it before laying on a towel to dry. I sometimes prop them up underneath the radiator for the day and they are dry by the next morning. For the sake of photography, I didn

Shopping in the City

From yet another shopping spree, I bring you yet another haul! This one is definitely larger than my last but that's a good thing because it means a whole new haul and who doesn't want that?! 😆 My first item was from H&M where I got attached to this cute top. From looking at the tag as well as the receipt, it says it was an H&M Basic T-shirt priced at £6.99 or €7.99. Second, we headed to Primark where I picked up a couple of items- it was hard not to buy EVERYTHING! The first thing I spotted was this gorgeous cherry-patterned cropped jumper which I am obsessed with. I believe this was £5 which, to me, is really good for a jumper and I have to say, this is 100% my favourite item I bought.  In Primark , I also splashed an extra £6 on this beautiful purse as my old one has grown extremely tatty. As well as that, a 50p bottle of water dropped into my basket, too. Poundland was the next place we visited where I spotted my all-time favourite

Marching Into Spring.

Image
'Marching Into Spring'- see what I did there?! 😁 It may not yet be officially spring but the weather seems to be brightening up; flowers are beginning to grow and the temperature seems to be slowly rising. As I have not written a post "Photography-based" in an AGE, I decided that the change of season would be a great excuse to! I LOVE to take photos, however, I know that I am not an expert. There's always room to improve, though, right!? That's why I think this spring is going to be great fun for taking photos of new wildlife and ever-changing landscapes. My photography has been mostly limited to the indoors this winter as the weather has been freezing❄. So now it's getting warmer, I'm going to leap at the chance to spend more time outside, taking photos. To kick-start my springtime photography, I decided that I would try my hand at something a little bit different to my usual photos. As you can see from the first photo in the post, I select

My Daily Make-up Routine

Image
Welcome back to my blog! I hope you've had a fantastic weekend maybe you even had fun in the snow or the snow may have been a negative thing for you. I'd love to know- tell me about it in the comments! I thought that it might be nice for me to show you how I do my daily make-up at the moment. You may notice that I have already linked most of the products I'm using in previous posts as I love them so much- there'll be links at the bottom of the page! Let's get started... The first step I take before I put any makeup on, is to cleanse and moisturise my face. Two of the products I use are the Wilko Argan Oil & Vanilla Lip Balm and the Vintage Collection Rose Handcream. If I'm perfectly honest, I was slightly sceptical of how well the lip balm would work, but despite my doubts, it works better for me than a chapstick. Next, the first product I apply is my foundation which I blob a small pea-sized amount onto the back of my hand. With my right hand, I
