My Daily Make-up Routine
Welcome back to my blog! I hope you've had a fantastic weekend maybe you even had fun in the snow or the snow may have been a negative thing for you. I'd love to know- tell me about it in the comments!
I thought that it might be nice for me to show you how I do my daily make-up at the moment. You may notice that I have already linked most of the products I'm using in previous posts as I love them so much- there'll be links at the bottom of the page! Let's get started...
The first step I take before I put any makeup on, is to cleanse and moisturise my face. Two of the products I use are the Wilko Argan Oil & Vanilla Lip Balm and the Vintage Collection Rose Handcream. If I'm perfectly honest, I was slightly sceptical of how well the lip balm would work, but despite my doubts, it works better for me than a chapstick.
Next, the first product I apply is my foundation which I blob a small pea-sized amount onto the back of my hand. With my right hand, I grab my foundation brush and dip it in, getting a little bit of it at a time and gently applying it all over my face.
To cover up any blemishes or discoloured areas, I use my concealer. I put a little bit of this on either side of my nose, at the top (near my eyes) and at the base of it, too. Also, under my eyes and any other blemishes.
Blush is next on the list. This particular blush is more orangey in colour so I apply it on my cheekbones in small amounts so as not to make my face look orange! 🍊😊
Now, I believe it's time for... EYESHADOW!!! My personal favourite! I normally use this palette if I'm not feeling very adventurous and apply the darkest shade to the outside of my eyelids. Then, I go for the second darkest next to that. In the centre, goes the pink and then the lightest brown. Finally, the palest colour right in the smallest corner of my eye. Blending time! My blending brush is not too big but not small to mix all the colours together and give the edges a bit more of a finished look!
For my mascara, I only have one at the moment which is about 6 months out of date so as you can imagine, it's quite blobby! So, I'll put it on and then have to get the blobs out. 😪
Last, but not least, I chose my scent for the day. This varies from day to day so I couldn't easily put a specific one in here.
This is my daily makeup look! If this brightened up your day, please remember to give the favour back to me and click that 'Follow' button! Thank you all for all your amazing support!
Stay tuned for more,
Elly😸
