How to make a stationary storage box!

Image
Hello, guys! I made a storage pot for my pens and now am going to share how to do that with you!☺ Here is an image of mine: And how to go on to create your own version: You will need: • A shoe box • Wrapping paper • Selotape • Toilet roll tubes •Scissors •Glue •Ruler • Somethings to put in your storage pot 1. Remove the lid of the shoe box and put it to the side. Accurately, draw a line down the centre of the bottom of the box and follow it down the sides. 2. Draw a dot 6cm away from each side of the line near where the lid would have been and join it with a line from the top of the vertical line to the dot on both sides.  3. Cut out the triangle you've just drawn and repeat in the other side. 4.  Push the two sides up to create a 'v' shape and tape securely. Cut off one side to turn it into a seat shape. You may want to add a divider to separate your notebooks and pens. 5.  Now it's your time to customise your pot. I covere

My Camera

Image
For one of my birthdays, (not that I have more than one a year!😂) I received, a EXTREMELY generous present. This was, my camera.  I definitely am not a professional photographer, I just do it as a hobby, but I wanted to share with you my personal experience alongside, some tips and photos of my own. First, I should probably tell you what type of camera I have got. I have the Canon EOS 1300D. This photo was taken on my phone (Samsung Galaxy J5) and edited on my laptop- no particular software!  I find my camera really easy to transport and use. My lens is 'Canon EFS 18-55mm' and, this probably is not the correct way to say it😃, but it is basically an all-round lens (as in it works on fairly close items as well as fairly far-away, too).  I find extreme close ups don't work with this lens as it struggles to focus.  To clean my lens, if it gets smudgy I just use a glasses-cleaning cloth to gently get rid of any dirt. I don't know if this way is good for y

Bringing In The Harvest

Image
It is the end of summer and the fruit on the trees is just ready to be harvested. That's the case in my household, anyway! I always love the fresh, fruity smell of bags and bags of apples, pears and who knows what else that has been grown!  This year we had crops coming in in little bursts all year round: peas, beans, tomatoes🍅, courgettes etc.. At the beginning of autumn is when we begin to receive the fruit (my favourite crop!) and that's what I'm going to share with you today! It all began about the 10th of September when we brought in our first load of pears. These were given to friends, neighbours and relatives! Eventually, the apples🍎 began to get ripe and the sweetcorn🌽 had risen to above our heads and far beyond.  Soon, the mass of produce was being brought inside and stored, given to people we knew- the amount was vast! When we were able to try our first lot of tasty, home-grown fruit I took some photos and here's a few: It's much better th

Thinking Back With Holiday Snaps

Image
It feels GREAT when your on holiday and you are free. But the fun doesn't have to stop when your back in the swing of normal daily life. I happen to like looking back on my holiday photos and relive through the experiences and funny times. I decided to share with you some of my holiday photos from a particular bleak landscape where me and my family enjoyed a day-out around steam trains, the sea and little quaint buildings (some not so little🏩). For your information, these photos were taken on my phone, a 'Samsung Galaxy J5' and some edited with an app called 'POTO'. We started the day by heading to a little train-station café- as you do- and had a drink together. We watched as the miniature trains rattled in and out of the platform. Once we had finished our coffee break, we headed off to visit a lighthouse. It was the original, retired👴👵 one which had recently been replaced with a new, modern one which still operates today. Unfortunately I do not
