April Must-Haves 2018

Good afternoon! Seeing as I upload on a Monday and as it is the last day of the month I guessed that today would be the perfect day to do my monthly Must-Haves!

1.
You may have seen that, a couple of weeks ago, on twitter, I uploaded a picture of my nails painted with a sparkly blue (https://twitter.com/@EllyCuriousWord). Unfortunately for me, I had to use two items to create the effect and it wasn't quite as simple as just putting one on. However, I absolutely LOVED the look and so, here they are:

The sparkly nail varnish, as you can see, was from Claire's Accessories and can be found here: https://www.claires.com/blue-sparkle-glitter-nail-polish-12419.html?. Also, the darker one came from Wild and Crazy which, I couldn't find anywhere- Sorry!

To go alongside these, I have been loving the nail varnish removal wipes which claim to be good for your nails too, which is a bonus, right?

A book that I have been reading and enjoying a lot this month happened to be Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I won't give away any spoilers but it's about a girl who goes to university and struggles to settle in. This book is an amazing story and can be found: https://www.waterstones.com/book/fangirl/rainbow-rowell/9781447263227

My mini eyeshadow palette has been starred before in a Must-Haves post but not for the same reason. I realised, earlier on this week, (don't know why I hadn't thought of this before) that a few of these shades can be used as a highlight/blush. My favourite combination to use is the lightest one for highlight- I've never looked back since!

This. Concealer. Is. Brilliant. It lightens up dark areas and covers blemishes so well that you can barely tell that it's there.  http://www.boots.com/rimmel-wake-me-up-concealer-10137963

5.

In my 'Shopping In The City' haul (https://ellycuriouswords.blogspot.co.uk/2018/03/shopping-in-city.html), I mentioned these clear hair elastics. This month, I have been able to create SO MANY more interesting hairstyles without having a huge, hair bobble ruining the look all thanks to these. For anybody with long hair that loves trying out new styles, I reccomend getting some of these!

6.

April has included Easter, this year so there 100% had to be at least one chocolate-related item... and this particular easter egg happens to be from one of my favourite Easter Egg brands. CHOKABLOCK create the craziest, tastiest easter eggs I've ever come across. Most have sweets on the front of the egg and the chocolate itself tends to have a flavour so it's not just plain.

7.

Something quite different that I have also tweeted about is Natalie Alzate's (Natalies Outlet) new podcast #Viral. I came across this through spotify and have listened to all the episodes back-to-back and am now waiting impatiently for the next one 😆. She speaks to famous youtubers about virtually everything and I think it's really interesting. You can find it on ITunes and Spotify. Go check it out!

Last but not least... my new shampoo. This is the Superdrug Coconut and Sweet Almond Extracts Shampoo and Conditioner for dry/damaged hair. I don't have dry or damaged hair but I beleive that occasionally you should use a shampoo for regenerating hair. This shampoo outlived my expectation and has made my hair soft and silky.

I'm really pleased with the photography in this post 😊 and I hope you enjoyed reading it. If you've got one of these items or you are going to buy one (or more😜), tell me what you think about them! Also, click the 'Follow' button if you're new around here and join the team! Don't forget to share with friends!

Stay tuned for more,
Elly👸
